As part of the strategic effort to continue enhancing all areas of the customer experience, Central Transport has announced the implementation of a new billing application. The app allows assigned users to enter critical shipment information to improve transit. By reviewing and entering the pertinent details in the app, the information is passed quickly throughout the system – ensuring less delays and improved shipment visibility for planning purposes.
Messages can also be sent directly and quickly to drivers while on their route, seeking additional information as needed. Information entered will pass through the EDI processes, helping to maintain the reliability and promptness of all freight movement.
The app is currently in use at six terminals, with company wide deployment is expected within the next three months.
